Before You Start

• You will need:
  • A valid Minecraft redemption code
  • A Microsoft account
  • Internet access
• Make sure you are logged into the correct Microsoft account before redeeming.

Redeeming a Code (Java Edition or Bundle Purchase)

1. Go to minecraft.net/redeem.
2. Click Sign In.
3. Log in with your Microsoft account.
4. Enter your 25-character redemption code.
5. Click Redeem.
6. Follow any on-screen instructions to complete the process.

Once redeemed, the game will be linked to your Microsoft account.

Downloading After Redemption

1. Go to minecraft.net.
2. Click Download.
3. Install the Minecraft Launcher (if you don’t already have it).
4. Open the Launcher and sign in.
5. Select Minecraft: Java Edition and click Play.

Troubleshooting

• Double-check that the code is entered correctly (no spaces).
• Make sure you are signed into the correct Microsoft account.
• If the code says “already redeemed,” it may already be linked to your account.

Important Notes

• Redemption codes can only be used once.
• Once redeemed, the game is permanently linked to that Microsoft account.
• Keep your code private until redeemed.
