Before You Start

• You will need a Microsoft account.
• Make sure your computer meets the minimum system requirements.
• A stable internet connection is recommended for download and updates.

Installing the Minecraft Launcher

On Windows

1. Go to the official Minecraft website: minecraft.net.
2. Click Get Minecraft.
3. Choose Computer.
4. Select Minecraft: Java & Bedrock Edition for PC.
5. Download the Minecraft Launcher.
6. Open the downloaded file and follow the installation prompts.
7. Once installed, open the Minecraft Launcher.

On Mac

1. Go to minecraft.net.
2. Click Get Minecraft.
3. Choose Computer.
4. Select Minecraft: Java Edition.
5. Download the Mac installer.
6. Open the downloaded file and drag the Launcher to your Applications folder.
7. Open the Minecraft Launcher.

Logging In

1. Open the Minecraft Launcher.
2. Click Sign In.
3. Log in using your Microsoft account.
4. Once logged in, you will see the main launcher screen.

Navigating the Minecraft Launcher

Home Tab

• Shows news, updates, and the main Play button.

Installations Tab

• Allows you to:
  • Select different Minecraft versions.
  • Create a new installation (if needed).
  • Choose a specific version required by a server.

Skins Tab

• Customize your character’s appearance.

Settings

• Adjust launcher preferences.
• Manage accounts.
• Change Java settings (advanced users).

Launching Minecraft Java Edition

1. Make sure Minecraft: Java Edition is selected on the left sidebar.
2. Choose the correct version (if required).
3. Click Play.
4. Wait for the game to load.
5. Once in the main menu, click Multiplayer to join a server.

Troubleshooting

• Make sure you are logged into the correct Microsoft account.
• Restart the launcher if updates do not appear.
• Ensure Java Edition is selected (not Bedrock).
• Reinstall the launcher if it fails to open.

Important Notes

• The Minecraft Launcher is required to play Java Edition.
• Keep the launcher updated for the best performance.
• For the best Mud Club experience, use Minecraft Java Edition.
