Mud Club uses VR as a supported, therapist-guided environment, and these steps help extend that safety into your home setup.
Why Parental Setup Matters
Meta Quest is an online platform with:
- Social features (voice chat, multiplayer games)
- App downloads and purchases
- Friend connections
Setting up parental controls ensures your child can participate safely and appropriately during and outside of sessions.
Recommended Account Setup
✅ Use a Parent-Managed Account
For teens:
- Create a Meta account for your child
- Link it to your parent account using Meta Family Center
This allows you to:
- Approve purchases
- Monitor usage
- Manage privacy and safety settings

Outside of sessions:
- Some games may allow open interaction
- We recommend parental supervision or agreed-upon limits
